    On Purpose is a fledgling of a fashion company. The brand is all about making a statement through clothing. The figures represent humans, with the last one standing on his head. In so doing, he is setting himself apart from the crowd and making an “exclamation.”

    Able is a pool cleaning company. When you look in your pool and go, “Ew,” you call Able and they come and take out the yuckies. There’s also an “ew” sound in the word pools. I thought it was clever.

    These guys are actually gold diggers! Typically, one finds gold by drilling into the earth and pulling out core samples – columns of earth that are a few inches in diameter and reveal a location’s geological composition at a variety of depths. In the logo we see that the final core sample hits paydirt.

    Caruthers Creek Community Church (or “C4″) wants to make an impact in the community. The four C’s have been arranged concentrically, implying ripples on the surface of a pond, moving outward from the central, catalyzing “C.” The outward radiation also references the namesake explosive, C4.

    Shasha bread makes organic breads, cookies, and offers a variety of other healthy grain-based products. The inspiration for this design is “mom’s kitchen table.” It’s wholesome.

    For companies and large organizations wanting to switch to sustainable energy, Potentia acts as a bridge between them and various energy providers. The website design views the planet as a small, fragile object, which is not simply fragile, but also manipulable, implying that we actually can make a difference.

    The concept for this site is “life on pause.” The two “L’s” of Paul Lawrence’s name when enclosed in a square make the “pause” symbol. This is fitting since Paul is a photographer and the primary role of a photographer is freezing moments.

    Red Bull dominates the energy drink market. This is ad uses the expression “alternative fuel source” in an unexpected way to encourage people to try something different.
